Who Knew? The first student filmmakers were Ducks!

Word comes from the University of Oregon of a new film entitled “Let’s Do It” that has reached an agreement with the school to shoot on its campus in Eugene.
This in itself is of merely marginal interest. The U of O has hosted a number of film productions over the decades, including those of “Animal House,” “Without Limits,” “Personal Best” and “Drive, He Said.” And it must be noted that a film set on a college campus with a title like “Let’s Do It” seems to promise next-to-nothing in the way of enlightenment about the human condition or the political and cultural crises that face us in these grim days.
But it turns out that “Let’s Do It” isn’t about a first sex or drug experience, as the title might lead you to believe. Rather, it’s a historical fiction about the making of what is alleged to be the first feature-length movie ever created by student filmmakers. (Click on ‘Continue Reading’ for more)
