This morning in Hollywood, Oscar is gently lowered and will be placed on his pedastal in time for next Sunday’s 82nd Annual Academy Awards ceremony

The spectator’s stand is empty now but by this time next week it will be filled with fans waiting to see their favorite nominee’s arrival for the Academy Awards ceremony at Hollywood’s Kodak Theatre

Looking Northwest from Hollywood Boulevard and El Centro, scattered clouds move in over the Capital Records building and the Pantages Theatre for a weeks worth of expected rains in the Southland.

Oh no, does Kermit the Frog have fleas? Possibly, but just to be safe they’re fumigating his entire lily pad. As seen today in Hollywood, the old Charlie Chaplin Studios on La Brea – now home of the Jim Henson Company – was being tented for fumigation. What must Miss Piggy think?

Intense heat feeds fierce wildfires north of Hollywood

Fires in the La Cañada Flintridge area of Los Angeles north of Hollywood sends plumes of smoke into the air over the Griffith Observatory.

It is currently 100 degrees in Hollywood (3 pm) and at least ten degrees hotter in the areas to the north where wildfires are sending massive plumes of smoke into the sky.
